Michael and Marcia Herzog started MB Herzog Electric in El Segundo in 1974. Just four years after the company’s humble start, it was incorporated in California and quickly expanded to include specialties like high voltage linemen and inside wiremen. Herzog got involved with the Chevron Oil Refinery Supplying Union and IBEW, quickly rising as a top player in commercial and industrial electrical. The company even supplied electricians to the booming local aerospace companies like Hughes Aircraft, Rockwell, TRW, and McDonnell Douglas.
